Outlander Symbol

The Outlanders is part of the newest fifth playable faction in For Honor. Unlike the four other factions though, the Heroes of this faction are free adventurers who have no cultural links between each other. Instead, they fight for their own personal reason, far from home, fighting for those who show loyalty or who pay well. They bring foreign ideas, sometimes even relics, to Heathmoor from mysterious lands that interest explorers; the Pirate is the first to showcase this to our fellow warriors to establish a connection between Heathmoor and this new group of Heroes.

While no one knows how the great cataclysm has affected these wanderers, some of them may have a history with the existing factions while others have come only now because of a newfound connection.

Overview[]

The Outlanders are not a traditional faction, unlike the four others that fight in Heathmoor. As such, one could say that they are the least unified of them all, as their only commonality is that each warrior is simply from foreign lands that only few know of. They may have been lured into coming to Heathmoor, or they are simply fighting in the Faction War so that they can eventually see their motherland once more. What they are closest to is a collection of wanderers-for-hire. Mercenaries. Adventurers even if one would look at them from a perspective.

How "honor" is defined varies among these warriors. Some Pirates only seem to care for how much gold they will be paid in. Some Medjay value honor as much as their tradition. Some Afeera simply agree to the philosophy that strength is above all else. Nonetheless, they are respected by the denizens of Heathmoor through their exotic battle prowess.

Armor[]

The armor worn by the Outlanders are not meant to be cohesive, as they don either what they have brought from their own culture or what they have encountered on their journey outside the world of Heathmoor. As a result, a lot of what these warriors wear will be foreign to the existing factions who fight in Heathmoor.

Weapons[]

Cutlass and Flintlock - While their cutlass is no special sword, it does the job needed for the Pirates on the high seas. In their off-hand though is a never before seen weapon: the flintlock pistol. Although a ranged weapon, the Pirate utilize the pistol as a pair to their Cutlass in close combat. This combo yields a ferocious style of unrelenting assault.

Bifurcated Fan Axes - The Medjay uses a peculiar weapon. The fan axe, also known as the palm axe, originally came as a two-sided polearm. However, the Medjay have chosen to embrace a more aggressive style, modifying their weapon to split into a pair of axes. The elite warriors that they are, the Medjay can mystify those they face, adapting to whichever situation they are placed in with the right setup.

Mace and Notched Shield - Offering the Afeera a choice on how to bludgeon their foe, the mace and shield combination makes for a fierce combination of blunt force. The shield uniquely has a notch in it to let rest the mace in some stances. Both are small enough to allow the Afeera to remain agile, using them like a dual set of weapons.

Macuahuitl and Tepoztopilli - Combining the use of two obsidian-lined weapons, the Ocelotl seek to tear and gouge their foes with brutal attacks.
