While the Warmongers have claimed Heathmoor, there are still warriors who wish to fight back. Taking the lead in this rebellion, Goemon the Aramusha teams up with a mysterious blacksmith to claim a Horkos fortress to deliver a message to the Warmongers.
Take part in the first part of the Tales of Rebellion storyline as you join up with Goemon and his other rebellious warriors in the subjugation of Yato's fortress. Over the course of three weeks, each week will feature a different chapter of this subjugation, from escorting Ilma the blacksmith, to pillaging Draconite, to confronting the corrupted Yato. Partake in this event to get access to exclusive rewards for all of your heroes.
Take note that the fortress is planned to be fully overtaken by October 8th, so claim your rewards of pillaging Yato's fortress before that date.
Overview[]
"Remember the heroes and villains who wrote Heathmoor's history? Challenge their impersonators to win exclusive rewards!"
The Order of Horkos imposed a regime of terror and left many scars across the world. The Samurai would be the first to take up arms and resist against this new enemy. An alliance was sealed between Goemon the Aramusha, leader of the Myre Rebellion, and Ilma, a mysterious blacksmith. Together, they fought to reclaim a Samurai fortress and made important discoveries about the Draconite, a new source of energy for all warriors in Heathmoor.
Event Game Mode[]
Rescue[]
"Conquer zones and protect the Blacksmith from the warriors of Horkos to reclaim the fortress!"
Band together with fellow players in escorting Ilma the mysterious Blacksmith into Yato's Fortress. Take note though, aside from the Horkos sending their corrupted warriors to stop you from advancing, the fortress itself has been contaminated by Draconite. So make your advance carefully as you protect Ilma.
Rescue is a modified version of the Emperor's Escape game mode from the Zhanhu's Gambit event. You will have to escort Ilma, who will act as a companion with an AI of a Guardian, from the Attacking end of the Overwatch map, over the twin bridges of the map, to the defending side where the Horkos Phaedon is stationed. However, you cannot progress too quickly as the fortress is encapsulated in poisonous fumes from all the corrupted Draconite, which you have to purify one zone at a time. On top of this, you will have to face special Samurai Horkos warriors in each zone, until you eventually meet the Phaedon at the last zone. For specific details on the gamemode, check here.
Along side the normal Horkos warriors, there are corrupted Horkos warriors who will feature increased damage and inflict Bleed with every strike. The following is the list of zones and what enemies your team will encounter during the game:
- Zone 1: You will face a group of Officers (Officers are executable Captains) and Pikemen. This is the only zone where Pikemen will spawn.
- Zone 2: This zone features some Officers together with two Horkos Followers (lvl 1 Orochi bots). Every other wave will feature one corrupted Horkos Follower (lvl 2 Orochi bot) and an extra Officer.
- Zone 3:This zone features some Officers together with two Horkos Archons (lvl 2 Aramusha bots). Every other wave will feature two corrupted Horkos Archons.
- Zone 4: This zone features an Officer together with a new Horkos Archon (lvl 2 Kensei bot). Every other wave will feature a corrupted Horkos Strategos (lvl 2 Kensei bot).
- Zone 5: This zone features Officers (the capture zone will feature a Horkos Guardian) together with a new corrupted Horkos Strategos (lvl 2 Shugoki bot).
- Final Zone: Fight the Horkos Phaedon, a highly corrupted Kensei enemy who has a high amount of health and is a level 3 bot. Together with him will be two Horkos Guardians.
Pillage[]
"Kill soldiers to collect Draconite. Reach 1000 Draconite to break the enemy team and kill them."
Now that you have secured a place inside of Yato's fortress, pillage what Draconite you can from the Horkos. The enemy have been collecting these crystals to increase their power, so cut their supplies off. The Horkos will also be sending their own warriors to save what resources they can, so beat them to the punch!
Pillage is a modified version of the Soul Rush game mode from the Shadows of the Hitokiri event. You will partake in a specialized 4v4 gamemode where each team has to collect Draconite by killing Horkos miners spawned on the field and deposit their gains to one of two deposits. These miners are no different than your typical Soldier, taking one hit to kill and granting 5 Draconite to whoever kills them. However, until provoked into combat, the miners will remain passive as they concentrate on mining; when killed, they will respawn after some time. The map will be Overwatch, but has been downsized by having the Defender Gate and Breach (the Defender and Attacker spawns in Dominion mode) and the pathways to them blocked off. For specific details on the gamemode, check here.
Enemies faced in this game mode will be three Samurai Horkos, all Corrupted (dealing bleed damage), together with the Warmonger Omodamos.
Overthrow[]
"Defend the Blacksmith while she forges a Draconite weapon to help you defeat Yato, leader of the Samurai Horkos."
With all the resources collected, Ilma is back to help you once more. This time, she has discovered how to bring together the Draconite to forge a special weapon. She guarantees that this weapon will help you and the other rebellion warriors slay Yato and the other Samurai Horkos.
Overthrow is an entirely new event gamemode, although some old features have been borrowed, such as the use of a special weapon which was first featured during the Wrath of the Jormungandr event. The gamemode plays in two parts: in the first part, you will need to protect Ilma as she is forging the Draconite weapon from waves of Samurai Horkos; in the second part, you will use the Draconite weapon to attack Yato and his fellow Warmonger allies until the Draconite weapon breaks, whereafter you will go back to Ilma who will reforge the weapon. You will perform these tasks three times, where on the third time you will finally kill Yato. For specific details on the gamemode, check here.
Ilma and her forge will be located at the center of the Overwatch map, on the outer walls side of the midlane. Meanwhile, Yato will be located on the Defender's side of the map, near the Defender's Approach.
While defending Ilma, the Samurai Horkos will grouped up in waves: the first set of enemies will be Nobushi warriors; the second, after depleting a third of Yato's health, will be Shugoki warriors; lastly, after depleting Yato's health to only a third left, you will face Aramusha warriors. When facing Yato, he will always be accompanied with two Warmongers; the first wave will be Syntribos, the second will be Omodamos, and the last will be Melinoe.
As an enemy, Yato will attack much like a commander, blocking some attacks, but mostly staying on the offense when approached (won't executed if he lands a Heavy on you or an ally). He will have access to the Hitokiri's T4 Senbozakura feat, using it at least once every time the team encounters him, so players should be wary.
Map Changes[]
The event takes place on the Overwatch map, as that has become Yato's fortress. Just like in the live game's version of the map, the map is overtaken by the Horkos, but this is taken up to eleven as it is heavily infested by Draconite with grey clouds hovering low to cover the sky in darkness. A crimson glow emanates from the Defending side of the map, which is where Yato is presumed to be.
Other Changes[]
Event Rewards & Pass[]
Outside the Event Order, players who participate in the event can loot exclusive in-game rewards, including new Draconite themed outfits, ornaments, and Draconite Growth Mood effects. However, unlike Events before, cosmetic loot is attained by a free Event Pass. The free Event Pass enables players to earn the outfits, ornaments and effects over the span of 30 tiers, removing the randomness players faced previously when trying to attain these cosmetic items. There are no new weapon visuals.
Players can also opt to purchase the special items that are exclusive to the event. While there are no new Illustrious outfits exclusive to the event, there is a new execution: the Sylvan Vaporization where you vaporize corrupted foes with a shard of Pure Draconite. This exclusive item will not be purchasable after the event is over.

Trivia[]
- This is the first event that does not feature a unique weapon visual as part of the event's loot pool. This may be because the event started at the beginning of the season, with new weapon visuals already being introduced both as a normal drop and as part of the battlepass.
- It may also be because this is only the first "part" of the Tales of Rebellion game mode series, with new weapon visuals coming out in latter parts.
- During the event, some of the Horkos Heroes are named in regards to Greek ranks.
- An Archon (Greek: ἄρχων) is a Greek term for someone who holds a status or is in a position of power. In Ancient Greek, it means "ruler."

- "Phaedon" (Greek: Φαίδων) as a name means "he who gives light." The most prominent example of such is Phaedo of Elis (also known just as Phaedon).
- It is also the title of a book by Jewish Enlightenment philosopher Moses Mendelssohn that defends the idea of immortality.
- The Warmonger leading the Horkos in the Pillage gamemode, Omodamos, is named after one of the Daemones Ceramici, known as the Crudebake, referring to pottery that is underbaked.
- Omodamos wears the Omodamos Alternate armor set, while wielding the Belligerent Tyrant sword set.
- The Warmonger who aids Yato in the last phase of the Overthrow gamemode, Melinoe, is named after the Greek deity who brings nightmares and madness.
