Svengård is a lightly defended storehouse of the Vikings. Throughout the year, food is stored here so when winter comes the Vikings will have enough to survive.
Overview[]
The frozen lands of Valkenheim make it difficult to farm effectively, and nearly impossible to do so during the winter. Svengård was built to store the Viking's food and seed grain so they would have an abundant harvest before the winter and plenty of food during it. The storehouse was not too well fortified. It had catapults and a sturdy gate, but it lacked the layered defenses other fortresses had and relied on calling for other Vikings to aid it in times of trouble.
History[]
During the Spring and Summer, Svengård stores excess seeds from harvests. During the Fall and Winter, it would store the food gathered. This is so the Vikings always had enough food to survive.
Apollyon knew this. Wanting to turn the clans against each other, she lead an assault against Svengård. Her Blackstone Legion burned down the storehouses the contained the food and seed, leaving only enough to feed a few clans, knowing they would fight each other to survive.
Her strategy worked. By winter, the Vikings fell upon each other like beasts over the destruction of Svengård. Eventually, the Warborn would reunite the Vikings and they would rebuild Svengård.
