Shrines, also known as Altars, are pedestals where warriors can present Offerings to the gods in exchange for buffs to aid them in battle. It takes approximately three seconds to plant or remove the tribute and if the player gets hit by an opponent, the timer is reset. However, they can cancel from this animation.

Shrines are uniquely decorated depending on the faction the map belongs to.

  • Knight Shrines will have a European wall-fountain adorned with lion heads about its basin and a stone mural of a knight's bust surrounded by laurels. Steel framed torches light its sides.
  • Viking Shrines will have a fountain that engraved with Viking etchings, with a ritualistic ram skull at the top and an infinity symbol marking the basin. The torches at its side are simple, with burning cloth at the top of the stick.
  • Samurai Shrines will have a squared Japanese mural, featuring a Komainu head, as part of its fountain. A crane is located as an emblem of the fountain's basin. Normal torches with metal guards are hoisted at the sides.

Tribute[]

In Tribute there are three types of shrines that give different blessings depending on which shrine gets a tribute.

  • Sword Emblem Vindicator Shrine: Marked by a sword and gives your whole team an attack buff, as well as a speed boost when carrying an Offering and faster interaction when stealing an Offering.
  • Shield Emblem-0 Guardian Shrine: Marked by a shield and gives your whole team a small regenerating shield, as well as slowing enemy interaction when they try to steal your team’s Offering.
  • Eye Emblem Oracle Shrine: Marked by an eye inside a triangle and reveals the location of all enemy warriors.

Breach[]

There is only one type of shrine in Breach: the shield shrine. They are similar in appearance to the Shrines in Tribute but lack a base and possessing a shield with an X on it. While the Shrine on the Ram are unique to each faction, the Defending Shrine that is above the gate are universal.

Planting a tribute at this shrine will grant a shield for either the gate or the battering ram. The defending shrine is located above the gate. The attacking shrine is located behind the battering ram. Unlike in Tribute, once an offering is made, it cannot be removed.
