Also, unrelated question. So unrelated question. I had made an observation when it came to solo game matches that ally bots were the opposite gender of your hero. But you said you tested that and it wasn't the case. Are you saying that you get same gendered bots as your ally when you play solo? I'm just wondering cuz I play a lot of offline play because of my internet connection and I have never seen a solo ally bot be the same gender as the hero I play.
Done and done. Although, where is the "I am war" emote for shared emotes?
As for unrelated question, I don't recall having replied about bot genders. If I did, it may have been that back in the days they would sometimes be all opposite genders, sometimes random. However, let me test a few solo games; I often play solo PvE because I want to farm orders in peace or I'm playing an unpopular gamemode.
Well, I've been trying to update the executions. But every time I copy the url to upload a video, the mini screen replaces the drag your videos here with a blank as if it's uploading, but then it never finishes.
In such as a case, I tend to just upload the video or image to the wiki from the video/images page (under the tab explore -> videos or images). Then I copy-paste the file name into the page I am editting.
Otherwise, I wouldn't know how to resolve unusual loading times. It has happened to me, but as mentioned above, I just use a work-around.
Since you started the Vortiger page I thought I should talk to you first but I feel we should rename the page to Black Prior with Vortiger and Erzabet listed somewhere below since Vortiger and Erzabet are the male and female names of the class Black Prior.
I initially had "Vortiger" because that was the name that I saw updated in the Hero's navbox. We also didn't know if "Black Priors" was a subtitle or the actual title. If Vortiger is really the male name, then yes, it would be best to rename the pages.
As for mentioning specific names... did we do that for each Hero's page? I don't recall that.
Yea, I'm with you on that. I thought the hero was called vortiger cuz every time I heard anything about the new hero he was always called the vortiger. It was only on the warrior's den today that they clarified that the class is the black prior with vortiger as the male name.
As for the hero names, it was something I did for the Wu Lin since they were the first heroes that came with specific characters but I might have it changed since all the original heroes would have to have lists of known ppl too. We could just put in the trivia that the name Vortiger was released and it was later clarified to be a character name rather than class name.
I finally got around to uploading the "new" emotes. But the problem is my internet is slow as molasses and I can't edit the pages to include them right now. I'll try to find a better hotspot tomorrow but if you want you can start updating the pages. They're from the same youtube channel.
What happened to the nicely named images? I do recommend for them to be renamed, because as mentioned before, these could be reused to post on their respective pages for trivia.
"Niwa-chuu" or "Niwa-naka" (庭中), meaning "inside garden" or "inner garden" (no respective order, as either reading is acceptable as a reading.
"Goei-ro" (護衛路), meaning "escort path."
"Joumon" (城門), meaning "Castle Gate." As mentioned on the Sanctuary page, the game is properly using the direction Japanese would have written (right-to-left) for horizontal text, as Japan didn't adapt that until there was Western influence upon the country, which had not occured to Japan at the time of the Cataclysm.
"Nishi Joumon" (西城門), meaning "Western Castle Gate."
Same as one of the images before (and read right-to-left): "Bukiko" (武器庫), meaning "armory" or "weapon storage."
"Shugo-shin" (守護神), meaning "Guardian Deity." Fun fact: as you can tell by the first part of the name, this is the same "shugo" from Shugoki's name.
Hey Green, I was looking through my message wall and noticed that a few months ago TheAngryOrange said you were requesting to become a content mod. I'm sorry I didn't get on it sooner, but I only just recently figured out how to authorize that on my own. I'm just checking in to see if you still want the position; I'm guessing you probably do, but I like to be sure.
I'm most definitely still wanting of the position.
No need to apologize for not getting to this sooner. The items I've worked on thus far haven't been inhibited by the lack of position. It just means that no, I have more that I can work on if I like. Plus, it can open up to being able to lock pages where necessary or use Rollback for edits instead of the undo.
If rollback is not part of the package, I will request that too if possible. I may ask for admin later down the line... but atm, I don't that's something that should be asked by me, someone who has limtied contributions here.
Are there anything you'd like me to brush up on? I am currently trying to get details filled out and/or added for what has been missing. For example, executions did not even have a dedicated page with a list of all the executions. I believe Orange also got the list for Feats going, but that too is still incomplete. I've made templates for WIP, Need Testing and Stub, and may add more as time goes on.
It all sounds good, there's just one thing I want you to be aware of: on my profile's main page, I put a guideline showing how I want the gear pages to be formatted. Getting all the gear pages up to date on that format is the biggest challenge I have on the wiki right now.
Well... there are a ton of gears... so it's less challenging, and more cumbersome to get all of them down-pat.
I'm worried that those pages are stubby, and may work better if we make better logistics and/or combine some pages into a single page, such as putting tier 3 gear for a Hero in one page, while special event gear or unique gear for a Hero has their own page.
Much can be discussed though. Just wanted to give some thoughts on that, since I did notice the things about it.
I'm new to the whole games wiki editing thing and I want to contribute to the For Honor wiki by adding a max punish page that includes each hero but I don't know how to use the page editing tools effectively? any help?
