Very few industries remain in Ashfeld, but the nonstop war machine has a constant need for steel. Weapons, armor, and even the currency all require steel.
Forges dot the landscape, and they need to work all day to meet the unending demand. Control the Forge and you will control the tide of war. But be careful, the Forge can be a very dangerous place.
The Forge is one giant path with a single side path at the side. From one end of the Forge is the courtyard that holds the gate that leads to the rest of the village. Warriors can go down the main path by following the mine tracks to the other side of the map. When they reach the other side, they'll find themselves in the old sewer access and the sewer breach from which soldiers will pour. An alternate method to traverse is the side path, first by turning up past the eagle statue and into the foundry with its pit of molten metal. Warriors will then pass through the central workshop where hammers are hard at work pounding away at metal. On the other side is the waterwheel, which powers the factory.
In Dominion, attackers cannot lay siege to the factory directly as it resides in a village on the side of a cliff. Instead, they found an alternate method in, via the old sewers. The defenders may have even seen it coming if they looked through any of the grates in the ground. The attackers stack barrels of gunpowder against the final grate, tossing a torch onto the barrels and detonating them. The explosion catches the attention of the defenders who immediately prepare for battle as attackers pour out of the sewers.
