The Chimera Alliance, also known as "the Rebellion" or "the Resistance," is a newly formed group that banded together to overthrow the tyranny of the Order of Horkos.
Overview[]
When the Order of Horkos had taken claim to the land of Heathmoor, some bowed down to their new rulers. However, others were not satisfied with what the strife the Horkos brought. Thus, a rebellion started to boil from under the covers of subjugation. Led with the help of Ilma, a blacksmith from the Makers Guild, the Chimera Alliance would be made across all factions to overthrow the Warmongers who had brought war to the land.

Formation[]
The Alliance started from the act of resistance by the Aramusha named Goemon, who grouped together other Samurai warriors to break Ilma from her confinement under the Horkos and overthrow Yato who was leading the Samurai Horkos. The events of this rebellion are seen during the first part of Tales of Rebellion.
Once this rebellion was successful, other factions began to join the resistance, informally creating the Chimera Alliance. This would lead to the second rebellion, which was headed by Fjorgvin against the Viking Horkos. The events of this rebellion are seen during the second part of Tales of Rebellion.
New Leader[]
With the Horkos defeated both in Samurai and Viking territories, the Alliance realized it needed an appointed leader. Holden Cross, who had become a mercenary under the name of "Gryphon," had returned to Heathmoor, hearing of the victories by the Alliance. He was seen as the ideal candidate to be a leader, and he accepted. He would soon lead the Alliance to fight the Horkos once more against an armory jointly held by the Knight and Wu Lin Horkos. The events of this rebellion are seen during the third part of Tales of Rebellion.
Notable Members[]
- Ilma - a renowned blacksmith who broke the Makers Guild's code to join the rebellion. She has transformed the Draconite used by the Horkos into a weapon for the Alliance.
- Goemon - an Aramusha who helped start the Samurai Rebellion by rescuing Ilma. He serves as the Samurai representative of the Alliance.
- Fjorgvin - a Jormungandr who joined the Alliance for the Viking Rebellion. She serves as the Viking representative of the Alliance.
- Gryphon - once known as Holden Cross, Gryphon joined the rebellion after seeing the success of the Samurai and Viking Rebellions. He is the appointed leader of the Chimera Alliance.
- Lin Yao - a Nuxia who helped Gryphon with becoming a mercenary, later becoming the Wu Lin representative of the Alliance. Later captured by the Order of Horkos and fought during Death by Metal Week 2.
- Labeo - a Centurion who helped shape up the rebelling forces on the Knight's side. He serves as the Knight representative of the Alliance.
- Hervis Daubeny - a Warden and former enemy of Holden Cross, makes his return to host the Chimera Banquet event for the Chimera Alliance. Nicknamed "The Lord of Feronia."
- Tadeo - The Samurai Representative of the Truce of Wyverndale, saved by Gryphon and is assumed to have joined the alliance.
- The Savior - A Chimera Berserker that killed the Eternal, a fearsome Horkos Centurion.
- Medjay - A single Medjay who appeared at Daubney's Banquet and surprised many by his honorable participation, becoming the first Medjay to officially join the Alliance.
- Skarde - A Warlord and Former Cheiftain of Molder, who was betrayed and killed by his brother Maddox.
Trivia[]
- The Chimera Alliance may be named so as the warriors of all four factions "fuse" together like a Chimera to become a multi-animal monster that will resist the Horkos.
- One of the Symbols obtainable in the battlepass, "Chimera Alliance 1" (seen on right), showcases four animals which likely represent each faction: a Lion (Knights), a Raven (Vikings), a Dragon (Wu Lin), and a Koi Fish (Samurai).
- Gryphon becoming the leader of the Alliance is fitting as the Gryphon in mythology is also a type of chimeric creature.
